Aldous Huxley nailed it: “It’s a little embarrassing that after 45 years of research and study, the best advice I can give people is to be a little kinder to each other.”

This is lovely Gideon, thank you. I often feel very helpless and inadequate when I look at the awful things happening in the world; but I can do my little bit just by being kind. Thank you for affirming this.

So spot on! Your words have been such a balm...and challenge! I have taken all social media off my phone...oh the relief! Made me realise just how deadening I found the unkindness on there....even when not directed at me. Thankyou!

"Kindness is small enough to fit into our hands, and that is what makes it large enough to change the shape of our days; it is small enough to fit into a moment, and that is what makes it eternal." 🤍🤍🤍

Beautifully written! Reminds me of this quote that Gandalf says in the LOTR film adaptations: "Some believe it is only great power that can hold evil in check. But that is not what I have found. It is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love."
