Thank you Gideon once again for breathing out life through written words. They feel like flowers falling into the dust which we can leave there, having seen them, or pick them up and let the fragrance linger with us.
One line, in particular, stands out that the world could do well to learn, "justice is repair, not revenge".
This is beautiful Gideon and says what I need to hear with words that arrive like a surprise gift in the morning post. And yes your poem deeply blesses me. Thank you.
Gideon, this is a most beautiful offering up of yourself. Your words are a deep blessing, and with the blessing you always challenge me out of complacency and a call to holiness (which as you say, could be the best prayer). I feel immense gratitude to you for words that always inspire. Thank you.

Some of your most poignant and beautiful words Gideon (and that represents a high bar). Thank you.

So beautiful Gideon. Thank you. I was most touched by this...well all of it...but this stanza particularly..."To be saved from death
is to realise that it’s coming for you
no matter what;
to be saved from sin
is to realise that we’re all soaked in wounds.
Be graceful, therefore. Justice
is repair, not revenge".
"If you can see a need then you have a purpose"
The oft forgotten truth that purpose need not be big, and it is found in the moment, not in some grand plan.
Thank you for your post!
Thank you; this is one to read over and over again!
Beautiful, profoundly beautiful. Thank you for the reminder that life is prayer and prayer is a life well lived. 🙏
This poem is a masterpiece. Thank you, Gideon, for your soulful offering.
I read this poem a couple times, each line resonates with some part of me. Thank you G for continuing to share your words, you inspire me✨
